In class today we started with a lecture in the pit for Shift. We did not find this very useful at all and it felt like a sales pitch more than talking about the process and useful things we could have benefitted from. We then moved into studio for time to work on our ideas.
Cool things to mention:
− Video now appears in 70% of the top 100 search listings.
− In almost every demographic, people prefer to watch video rather than read.
− Viewers are between 64-85% more likely to buy after watching a product video.

I showed the girls the box prototypes I'd made and we picked 3 that we liked: the 2 pyramid ones, and the cube with the diagonal angle.
We evaluated and eliminated one of the pyramid styles as we figured we probably couldn't actually get much content into it. So during class I mocked up the cube and the pyramid in a bigger form (as big as I could on a3 paper, however this wasn't actually that big!
We also had some discussions around the website work Katie had been doing, and Lauren's video test. Moving forward, I am going to try and find some larger paper to make these prototypes out of.
